Progressive scanning, referred to as 480p for the number of horizontal lines that compose the video image, creates a picture using twice the scan lines of a conventional DVD picture, giving you higher resolution and sharper images while eliminating nearly all motion artifacts. Choose from progressive-scan component-video outputs, composite-video, or S-video outputs. (Older TVs may require an RF modulator or video switcher to convert composite- or S-video to a threaded RF coaxial jack.)
Whether watching a DVD or discovering the sonic benefits of SACD, you'll enjoy the DAV-FC7's outstanding, 100-watts-per-channel audio performance (across left, center, right, left/right surround, and subwoofer outputs) from Sony's S-Master full-digital amplifier.
